Johnny Morrison Out-Battles Ryan Semple for Super Stock Feature Victory

INNISFIL, Ontario — It was a battle that came right down to the final corner on the last lap, but ultimately Johnny Morrison picked up the checkered flag at Sunset Speedway in the Super Stock feature as part of the Last Dance weekend.

Morrison had the early advantage ahead of the field, but Ryan Semple quickly asserted that he would be apart of the conversation, taking the early lead from Morrison. Semple stretched out to the advantage over the middle portion of the 50-lap affair, but Morrison kept himself within striking distance.

Morrison would close onto the back bumper of Semple in the final 10 laps, beginning to look for a way around for the top spot. He made his move with five laps to go, the pair remaining side-by-side through the final laps, perhaps with a bit of contact along the way. The contact grew with the pair bouncing off of each other coming to the flag as Morrison secured the checkered flag ahead of Semple.

2025 T.Q. Can-Am Midget Champion Daniel Hawn put together a career day by winning one of the qualifying heats, and battled his way forward in the feature for a third-place finish ahead of Coltin Everingham, Gord Shepherd and Cole Burrows.

The feature included a couple quick cautions for some spins, including multi-feature winner Jacob Booth going around with 17 laps to go following contact with Everingham with 17 laps to go.
