Robin McLean Victorious in Outlaw Midget Feature at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Making the late-race pass, Robin McLean put himself out front when it mattered to win the Outlaw Midgets presented by Glenn Styres Racing feature at Sunset Speedway.

McLean did not have the best qualifying feature with an 11th-place finish, leaving him to work to do in the main event. He made the most of it, though, making the right passes when necessary to keep gaining track position and work his way to the front. He took the lead with a couple laps left, which was all it took to return to victory lane.

Brad Holmes’ return to a midget after managing the season at Sauble Speedway showed he can still get the job done, as he led numerous laps en route to a runner-up finish ahead of Mikey Homewood and Jason Metcalfe. Hunter Kavanaugh rebounded from a crash in the qualifying feature for a fifth.

The race was plagued by a series of early cautions which took out several heavy hitters with incidents.
