INNISFIL, Ontario — Connor James put the right amount of icing on the cake, capturing the victory in the Iron Man 100 at Sunset Speedway en route to being crowned the 2025 Ontario Sportsman Series Champion.
James showed the way in qualifying by winning the pole for the event, and took full advantage of the track position in pacing all the laps en route to victory lane. He had a couple challenges, with Shawn McGlynn right on his bumper through the final couple restarts but unable to get by.
Todd Shepherd capped off the year with a third ahead of Brendan Patrick, while Paul Bogensberger Jr. was fifth in his series debut.
The race featured a couple cautions, including a pair of spins for Kyle Istead and a single spin for Chad McGlynn. Of note, it was shortened by three laps as a result of time constraints.
