INNISFIL, Ontario — Continually getting faster each week paid off for Nicholas Reece as he was able to pick up the Bone Stock feature victory on Saturday at Sunset Speedway.
Reece got the pole for the 20-lap affair virtue of winning his qualifying heat, and took full advantage of the track position by running up front throughout the full event despite being surrounded by a bunch of heavy hitters. When technical inspection was complete at the end of the night, he was credited with the feature victory.
Chris Allard drove his way through the field, even completely sideways through corner one and two after contact with Jordan Owen, for a runner-up finish ahead of Aidan Harper, Mike Balson, and Steve Oakes. The fifth-place finish was enough for Oakes to clinch the 2025 track championship.
His brother Jeff Oakes was sixth in front of Sera Giannone, Ken Brown, Jay Cutting, and Matt McGrath.
Jordan Owen fell out of the race after his contact with Allard. Calvin Reesor saw his championship hopes come to an end after a mechanical failure saw a wheel fall off while leading off of turn four. Austyn Jennett rebounded to run up front in the feature despite going for a spin in qualifying, and knocking the front bumper off after contact from Allard.
Reece and Reesor picked up checkered flags in the qualifying heats.
