INNISFIL, Ontario — In a battle that lasted the entire feature, Tom Walters held on for the victory ahead of Tyler Hawn in the Hot Rod Sunset Speedway feature.
Starting on the pole, Walters jumped out to the early advantage as Hawn threaded his way through traffic. Hawn wasted no time catching him for the lead, beginning to look for a way by. The pair remained close battling back and forth until the caution came out with 10 laps to go. The restart saw the battle intensify, with the pair making significant contact in turn three coming to the green flag.
The restart was called off, with the second attempt going smoothly. However, it did not simmer down their battle as they continued to back and forth, with Hawn searching for any possible way by Walters in looks high and low. Ultimately, Walters crossed the finish line with the victory.
Rob Bromley was third, with Dan Archibald rebounding for fourth despite being sent to the back after spinning Mark Gordon with 10 laps to go. John Gaunt completed the top-five.
Paul Senior was sixth driving the No. 81 for Jason King ahead of Gordon, Josh Berry, Luke Gignac, and Matt Spry. Gordon went for a pair of spins, with the second of those thanks to contact from Berry with six laps to go.
Tyler Ecker placed 11th, with Jay Cutting in 12th following an unscheduled pit stop. Jeremy McLean rounded out the field after pulling off early.
