INNISFIL, Ontario — It came down to a series of late-race restarts and a pass, but ultimately Parker Traves picked up the victory on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway in the Ontario Legend Series feature.
A strong qualifying effort enabled Traves to run inside the top-three for the entire event, spending several laps on the back bumper of Mitch Wright in search for a way by. The last restart provided the perfect chance, as he got a run and took it, going by underneath him on the last lap to win the feature.
Joe Adams crossed the finish line in third, but it was not without drama as he made significant contact with the outside wall on the frontstretch with two laps to go after a tap coming to the green from Adam Cuthbertson. Dawson Drimmie placed fourth after spending several laps trading crossovers with Jake Spencer-Walt.
Gibson Baker was sixth in front of Wes Cuthbertson, Paul Pierik, Mackenzie Milwain, and Matt Thompson.
Andrew McFadden avoided the chaos for 11th ahead of Hailey McNicol, Caleb Drimmie, Nathan Killins, Joe Sherman, Nathan Huffman, Adam Cuthbertson, Keaton Pipe, Robbie Sikes, Rob Eggleton, and John Milwain.
