INNISFIL, Ontario — Taking the lead on Lap 3, Tyler Hawn dominated the Hot Rod feature at Sunset Speedway on Sunday, August 31.

Hawn showed speed in qualifying by picking up the checkered flag in his qualifying heat, before quickly carving his way through the field so he could take the lead on Lap 3. From there on, he showed the way for the rest of the 30-lap feature.

Mark Gordon turned leading laps early into a runner-up finish with Dan Archibald out-battling Thomas Wunsch for a third. Josh Berry rounded out the top-five.

John Gaunt was sixth in front of Jay Cutting, Steve Book, Nick Hamil, and Jason King.

Matt Spry was 11th, with Luke Gignac and Tom Walters falling out of the event on Lap 1 following contact with the outside wall due to fluid on the track.
