Amanda Balson Scores First Career Modified Feature Victory at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario —- Starting on the pole, Amanda Balson put the frustrations of the season behind her in leading flag-to-flag en route to winning the Modified feature on Sunday night at Sunset Speedway.

Balson set the quick time of the night with a lap of 14.964 seconds, putting her on the pole for the feature later on that night. She ran side-by-side with Wally Wilson for a couple laps to open the feature, before cruising away with the victory.

TJ Edwards made the late-race pass on Wilson to score a runner-up finish, with Brent McLean picking up a fourth. Steve Trendell and Anthony DiBello went back and forth all feature long for fifth, with Trendell securing the spot in the late laps.

Chris Milwain was seventh in front of Matt Haufe, Max Beyore, Luke Gignac, and Andrew Massey.

The race featured a single caution for Beyore going around for a spin.
