Jacob Sutcliffe Extends Championship Advantage with Trip to Victory Lane

INNISFIL, Ontario — It was not a straight forward way to victory lane, but ultimately, Jacob Sutcliffe picked up the checkered flag on Saturday, August 23 at Sunset Speedway.

Sutcliffe inherited the lead with a couple laps to go when his brother Wyatt looped it off turn one on a late-race restart. He would then out-battle Doug Butler in a two-lap dash to secure the checkered flag.

Ryder White picked up a third-place finish ahead of Curtis Burnett and Coleridge Phinnemore.

Chris Cunningham survived some late-race contact in turn one and two for a sixth, while Wyatt was credited with seventh. Wyatt led 27 laps until the caution came out for fluid down the backstretch due to Aundrea Lusk expiring an engine. Unfortunately, the restart did not go as planned with Wyatt looping it off the corner. Chris Allard finished eighth in front of Bob Phinnemore and Eric Rainey.
