INNISFIL, Ontario — Biding his time with some patience paid off for Cliff Hodgkinson en route to scoring the Southern Ontario Modified Association (SOMA) Pro 4 Modified feature victory at Sunset Speedway.

Starting up front, Hodgkinson was patient while allowing Bob Mercer to hold the early advantage and stretch it ahead of the field. However with a couple laps to go, contact in lap traffic would end Mercer’s race early. Hodgkinson inherited the lead for the restart, getting the jump and scoring the feature victory.

Ken Mercer jumped two spots in the final laps for a runner-up finish ahead of Brad Maitland, Jesse Gibson, and John Held.

Bob Mercer was credited with fifth after his incident with two laps to go in front of Mark Lucas and Riley Mercer.
