SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — Taking the lead at the halfway mark, Tom Gibbons did not look back en route to capturing the victory in Saturday’s Late Model feature at Sauble Speedway.

Gibbons spent the first half of the 40-lap feature carving his way through the traffic, taking over the third-place spot at Lap 12. He then wasted no time reeling in the top-two, timing his move as they battled around the oval. The move for the lead came a lap after halfway, with Gibbons slipping underneath and around Derek Russell for the spot. He then led the rest of the way to victory.

Andrew Gresel was second across the finish line ahead of Ty Cavalin and Connor Pritiko as Derek Russell fell to fifth battling a loose racecar and a couple bump and runs from his competitors.

Kayden Wright was sixth after his attempt to get by Russell in front of Austin Findley, Dean Russell, and Matt Johnston.
