Jacob Sutcliffe Leads Brother Wyatt Across Finish Line at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — They’ve both shown speed all season at Sunset Speedway, but it finally happened on Saturday night as the Sutcliffe brothers finished one-two with Jacob taking the checkered flag ahead of Wyatt.

Jacob made his way forward from the back half of the field, taking the lead on a mid-race restart. He then led the remaining seven laps of the 25-lap feature en route to scoring the victory.

Wyatt appeared to be possibly headed to victory lane, as he had worked his way to second before Jacob and put himself on the heels of then race leader Cameron McGlashan. Wyatt was able to get by him a lap after Jacob took the lead to secure the runner-up finish.

McGlashan led the first 17 laps en route to a third-place finish ahead of Coleridge Phinnemore and Ryder White.

Chandler Bos was sixth in front of Chris Allard, Aundrea Lusk, Peter Wakeling, Kris Inglis, and Shayne Dalziel.

Jason D’Antimo and Blaise Shaw were 12th and 13th respectively after finding themselves taken out of contention following an incident off of turn two that started with contact while D’Antimo, Lusk and White battled three-wide. Peyton Lewis’ car shut off en route to 14th, followed by Chris Cunningham and Curtis Burnett.
