Gary Lindberg Dominates 358 Modified Feature at Merrittville

THOROLD, Ontario — A familiar face found his way to victory lane, as Gary Lindberg dominated the Commercial Auto Electric 358 Modified feature at Merrittville Speedway on Monday, August 4.

Lindberg started in third, and wasted no time from there taking the lead. He then stretched out his advantage over the field, weaving his way through lap traffic en route to scoring the victory in the 44-lap main event.

Todd Gordon crossed the finish line in second ahead of Nelson Mason, Darrell Farraway, and Shayne Piece. Tommy Flannigan made his way by seven cars to finish sixth in front of Pete Bicknell, Jay Mallory, James Friesen, and Dave Flannigan Jr.

Cody McPherson led the way to a dominating Semenuk’s Esso / Baron Roofing DIRTcar Sportsman Modified victory ahead of Jacob Chevalier, Billy Bliech Jr., Tyler Puchalski, and Curtis Friesen. Noah Mamo crossed the finish line in sixth in front of Matt Sharpe, Matteo Panunte, Nigel Pendykoski, and Ryan Barrett.

Dave Bailey may have started sixth, but he did not stay there for long as he quickly found his way to the lead. He then led the rest of the way en route to winning the caution-filled Hooiser Stocks feature ahead of Kyle Pelrine, Mark Fawcett, Jason Fontaine, and Steve Shaw Jr. Gofast Teeple was sixth in front of Zach Bleich, who found himself involved in a couple early incidents. Clinton Nichols, Brock Gregory, and Spencer Smolders completed the top-10.

Brent Begolo dominated the Rona Doidge Modified Lite feature ahead of Shawn Sliter, Dillan Sliter, Ashton Anderson, and Sean Lftody. R.J. Pietz was sixth in front of Ryan Anderson, Anthony Kelly, Rob Misener, and Cohen Corbett.

The Allstar Concrete 4 Cylinders had one of the best races of the night, with four cars under a blanket throughout the second half. The victory came down to a side-by-side battle at the end, with Cierra Keus edging out Alex Riley by inches for the victory ahead of Rob Goulding, Joshua Dmytrow, and Hana Rothwell. Jason Tolton drove his way to sixth in front of Jeremy Cooper, Sierra Robinson, Mason Anderson, and Clinton Barrick.
