Dustyn Mombourquette Wins Late Model Feature at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Putting the No. 16 pole in qualifying, Dustyn Mombourquette led all 35 laps en route to scoring the Late Model feature victory on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.

Mombourquette proved to be fast, continually stretching his advantage over the field throughout the feature en route to capturing the checkered flag.

Gord Shepherd and Dale Shaw kept fans entertained with their battle for second and third, running side-by-side for multiple laps before Shepherd pulled away in the closing stages.

Gerrit Tiemersma came out on top in a three-way battle for fourth, securing the spot ahead of Paul Maltese and Chris Howse. Howse pulled off with 10 laps to go after battling an ill-handling car that saw him almost get in the wall a couple times.

Jordan Howse put himself inside contention through the first half of the feature, though was forced down pit road with mechanical issues on Lap 19.
