Coltin Everingham Victorious in Flyin’ Frank 49 at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Coltin Everingham put together the perfect weekend, capturing the Flyin’ Frank 49 victory on Sunday, August 3 to complete the weekend sweep at Sunset Speedway.

Everingham showed he was quick through the two rounds of qualifying heats, enabling him to start up front for the 49-lap feature. He wasted no time moving his way forward, taking the lead on Lap 3. He then distanced himself from the field, despite a couple heavyweights ready to challenge.

Dayco Super Stock Series front runner Carson Nagy was second ahead of Connor James, who jumped behind the wheel of the No. 83 normally driven by Johnny Morrison. Justin Collison and Brandon Passer completed the top-five.

Gord Shepherd’s rare appearance with the division resulted in a sixth in front of Herb Walters, Anthony DiBello, Chad Corcoran, and Cole Burrows.

Lane Zardo surprisingly was not in the battle for the win, crossing the finish line in 11th, followed by Connor Maltese, the 4D, Jerry Broom, Nick Troback, Brandon Steele, and Jacob Booth. Booth only completed three laps after suffering damage in qualifying after an incident with Corcoran.
