Mark Dilley Victorious in Bill Zardo Memorial at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — In a battle of the division heavyweights, Mark Dilley captured the victory in the Bill Zardo Memorial on Saturday, August 2 at Sunset Speedway.

It was a close event all night long, with the top-four spending numerous laps side-by-side over the second half of the event. Dan Archibald took an aim at the lead in getting underneath Dilley, while Jaosn Parker also took his shot at the top spot.

Ultimately, Mark Dilley proved why he is still one of the best to get around the oval as he held off the wrath of challengers en route to capturing the victory in the prestigious event for the second year in a row. Jason Parker placed second ahead of Dan Archibald, Tom Walters, and Thomas Wunsch.

Tyler Hawn crossed the finish line in sixth in front of Rob Bromley, John Gaunt, Brian Wilson, and Josh Berry.

Luke Gignac was 11th, while Tyler Ecker, Jason King, and Paul Bogensberger Sr. all experienced issues under the hood with the high temperatures. Ben McPherson pulled off on Lap 9 while Tanner Holmes did not take the green flag.
