Josh Stade Victorious in Jr Hanley Classic at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Showing speed through the afternoon, Josh Stade took the lead at Lap 100 and never looked back en route to winning the Jr Hanley Classic at Sunset Speedway.

Stade was second quickest in time trials, but found himself starting a couple rows back after the Cowboy Re-draw. He worked his way methodically through the traffic to take the lead on Lap 100. He paced the next 37 laps before the event was called as a result of a steady rainfall.

Treyten Lapcevich, who was quickest in time trials, was second ahead of Dwayne Baker, Jordan Howse, and Dale Shaw.

Rick Spencer-Walt’s return to Pro Late Model resulted in a sixth in front of Gord Shepherd, Taylor Holdaway, Travis Hallyburton, and Paul Maltese.

Dustyn Mombourquette, Gerritt Tiemersma, Jacob Mercer, and Billy Zardo completed the field.
