Steve Trendell Dominates Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified Feature at Peterborough

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Despite a late-race restart being thrown into the mix, Steve Trendell held on to score his first career Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified feature victory at Peterborough Speedway.

Trendell quickly made his way forward off the start of the green flag, taking the lead on Lap 8. He would cruise away from the field ready for a dominant run, when the caution waved with a handful of laps remaining. Trendell got a good restart, enabling him to drive away en route to the victory.

Jason Keen ran up front throughout the event, holding off Wally Wilson in a late-race battle for second. Dale Reinhart made his way up into fourth at the halfway mark, with Ryan Dick completing the top-five.

Luke Gignac was sixth ahead of Chris Milwain, who made his way back up to seventh despite a late-race spin. Tyler Bouillon was eighth in front of Josh Gruntz and Bob Franks.

Andrew Massey and Max Beyore each ran into issues during the night, completing eight laps and a single lap respectively. The mechanical issues also struck in practice, with a failure ending A.J. Emms’ night in opening practice.

Heat victories went to Milwain, Keen, Trendell, and Bouillon.

The Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modifieds will be back in action on Saturday, August 16 at Sauble Speedway.
