Jason Parker Victorious in OSCAAR Hot Rod Feature at Delaware Speedway

LONDON, Ontario — Taking the lead on a late-race restart, Jason Parker led the final laps en route to winning the OSCAAR Hot Rod feature at Delaware Speedway.

A heat win put Dalen Martin on the pole for the feature, and he was ready to take full advantage of the track position. He quickly jumped out to the advantage over the field, spreading it out to almost a straightaway lead. Everything was wiped away, though, when a caution came out with eight laps to go for an incident in the battle for fifth.

Jason Parker took full advantage of the restart, battling side-by-side with Martin before taking the advantage with three laps to go. He then led the rest of the way en route to securing his second straight series victory in a row. Dalen Martin finished second, while David Rockwood made a late-race charge for third.

Rob Bromley ran inside the top-five throughout the entire event, picking up a fourth-place finish ahead of Brian Wilson. Tyler Hawn battled up front early, fading back for sixth ahead of Steve Book.

Thomas Wunsch made his way forward, though a lock-up going into turn one trying to make a move sent him around for a spin leaving Derek Clark nowhere to go. Wunsch and Clark were both unable to continue, scored eighth and ninth respectively.

Jordan Morris suffered mechanical issues, resulting in having to pull off with just eight laps on the board. Barry Watson rounded out the field.

Heat victories went to Jason Parker and Dalen Martin.

The OSCAAR Hot Rods are back in action at Full Throttle Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 12.
