SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — Starting on the front row, Jason Parker took the lead and led all 30 laps en route to winning the OSCAAR Hot Rod feature at Sauble Speedway.
A veteran at Sauble Speedway, Parker proved to be fast right out of the gate despite this being his first Hot Rod appearance at the beach, scoring the victory in the opening heat. A strong top-five in the second qualifier allowed him to start on the pole. He took advantage of the track position, putting himself in the lead off the drop of the green flag, and leading all the laps en route to victory.
Rob Bromley, who won the other qualifier, made the last lap pass on Dalen Martin for the runner-up spot for his second consecutive podium finish after placing third in the season opener at Flamboro Speedway. Tyler Hawn and Thomas Wunsch found themselves battling each other for position once again, with Hawn coming out on top with a fourth.
Brian Wilson Jr. was sixth in front of Steve Book, Drew Robertson, and Dave MaMahon. MaMahon pulled off the track with mechanical issues 14 laps into the event.
Jason Parker currently holds a two-point advantage of Tyler Hawn, with the top-five in the standings within nine points of each other.
The OSCAAR Hot Rods are back in action at Delaware Speedway on Saturday, June 28. They will be joined by the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series and Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modifieds.
