INNISFIL, Ontario — After spending the past couple seasons in the Super Stock division, the 2025 campaign is seeing a new tune for Matt McGrath as he has been racing with the Bone Stocks.

“My thoughts going into the season aren’t too much,” he told Short Track Musings. “I would like to get a heat win or two, but it’s all new to me with the front wheel drive stuff (as) all I have ever driven was real wheel drive.”

The move to Bone Stocks comes after partnering up with SKLD Motorsports over the off-season, which came about through a friendship developed throughout 2024.

“It means a lot to me,” he commented. “They are like a second family to me so being able to be involved in their program and for them welcoming me in with open arms means a lot.”

For McGrath, he got his start in racing by going to the track as a kid with his father each Saturday night.

“It was kinda our thing we did,” he said. “Then in 2012, I started with Coltin (Everingham) working on his car in the super stocks, and then the rest is history and been hooked every since.”
