INNISFIL, Ontario — Getting out to the early lead, Tyler Hawn did not look back en route to winning the Hot Rod feature at Sunset Speedway.
After winning the second qualifying heat, Hawn started on pole for the 30 lap feature, which paid off as he was able to stretch his advantage out ahead of the competition. Despite a late restart following a single car spin, he drove away to the checkered flag.
Opening night feature winner Herb Walters finished second, with Jamie Cairns out-dueling Tom Walters to complete the podium.
Josh Berry was fifth after his late-race spin ahead of Ben McPherson.
