INNISFIL, Ontario — Starting on the front row, A.J. Emms took the lead on Lap 1 and never looked back en route to winning the second Modified feature of the season at Sunset Speedway.

Emms started off the night by setting quick time in the qualifying session, before rolling an invert of two for the 30-lap feature. He cleared Luke Gignac down the backstretch and led all 30 laps to the checkered flag.

Amanda Balson made her way forward after starting fourth, taking over the runner-up spot in the first half of the feature. She was able to close the gap between herself and the leader in the second half, but unable to erase the 1.065 second difference.

Wally Wilson backed up his opening night victory with a third to complete the podium ahead of Luke Gignac and Josh Gruntz. Andrew Massey was sixth in front of Bob Franks and Matt Haufe.

There was a single red flag during the event as a result of an incident backstretch between Tyler Bouillon and Darin Malcolm.
