Josh Stade Victorious in APC Series Dayco 100 at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — After setting the quick time in qualifying, Josh Stade made his way forward to be victorious in the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series Dayco 100 at Sunset Speedway.

Stade laid down a lap of 14.411 seconds in time trials, followed by drawing a four in the five-car invert. He kept himself inside the top-five, methodically working his way forward. He made his way up into second, passing Cole Quinton for the lead at the halfway mark. There would be a brief battle with Shawn Chenoweth, as the pair traded the lead through the middle portion. However, from Lap 61, it was all the No. 17 Late Model as he stretched his advantage over the field en route to the checkered flag.

Dale Shaw made the late-race surge and pass on Chenoweth to cross the finish line in second, with Junior Farrelly and Shae Gemmell completed the top-five.

Treyten Lapcevich charged his way from the back after having his brother Ryden qualify the car for sixth, while Erik Dalla Riva rebounded from a spin for seventh. Jo Lawrence finished eighth, ahead of Connor Pritiko and Jake Sheridan.

Tyler Di Venanzo was 11th, while Cory Luciano, Cory McAllister, Kendra Adams and Kyle Steckly followed after being involved in an incident together on the backstretch. Cole Quinton was 16th following a solo spin, with Billy Zardo in 17th.

Mike Bentley and Taylor Holdaway rounded out the field, while Ray Morneau did not take the green flag after missing qualifying due to having to change a motor after practice.
