SKLD Motorsports Kicks Off Campaign with Trio of Top-10 Finishes

INNISFIL, Ontario — The 2025 campaign has began on a solid note for SKLD Motorsports, as their trio of bone stock competitors found their way to the checkered flag inside the top-10 on Sunset Speedway’s Bone Stock opening night.

The night started off solidly for the team, with Austyn Jennett and Karlie Wilman placing inside the top-five in the first qualifier, with a third and fifth respectively. Matt McGrath then backed up the team’s performance with a sixth in the second heat.

The feature would see Jennett on the pole with McGrath and Wilman starting in the back half of the field, ready to move their way forward.

Jennett led the opening laps, before getting passed on an early race restart. He faded back through the middle of the event, with the car coming back to him in the second half. He made his charge, making a three-wide move in the final laps to cross the finish line in third, credited with second following post-race technical inspection.

McGrath battled throughout the event mid-pack, with plenty of side-by-side moments en route to seventh. Wilman held her own ground through the 20 laps, making some moves en route to a 10th-place finish.

The SKLD Motorsports team will be back at Sunset Speedway on Sunday, May 18 for Spring Velocity.
