INNISFIL, Ontario — Starting deep in the field, Rick Spencer-Walt made his way forward to score a top-10 finish on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.

Behind the wheel of his familiar No. 31 Late Model, he would qualify near the back of the field, aiming to move forward once the green flag waved.

He began to make up ground immediately, with a couple passes to have himself up to seventh by the halfway point. He’d make a bid for sixth, but unfortunately the handling began to go away. As a result, the closing laps saw him give up a couple spots, crossing the finish line in ninth.
