The 2024 Sunset Speedway Super Stock Champion Miles Tyson proved he can still get the job done, as he was able to capture the feature victory on Saturday night.
Tyson started on the front row and was able to out-battle both last week’s feature winner Coltin Everingham and Cole Burrows to take the lead. He then stretched out his advantage over the 30 lap distance, cruising to the checkered flag. It marks a solid start to the year after the driver of the No. 49 drove from the back to second last weekend.
Bailey Jacobs’ consistency continues with his second straight podium with a runner-up, while Connor Maltese continues to show improvement with a third. Everingham bounced back from a flat tire and spin after contact while battling for the lead for fourth, as Paul Pepper completed the top-five.
Johnny Morrison came home sixth after a lengthy battle with Everingham ahead of Burrows, Kyle Gordon, and Jacob Booth. Booth pulled off on Lap 12 after apparent mechanical issues.
Bailey Jacob won the single heat for the division.
