The first appearance for Jake Sheridan at Sunset Speedway for 2025 worked out well, as he dominated by leading flag-to-flag in the 50 lap Late Model feature on Saturday.
Following up a podium finish at Delaware Speedway the night before, Sheridan found himself on the outside front row for the feature after topping the board in time trials. He took full advantage, pulling away with the lead off of turn two and leaving the rest of the field behind. He stretched out the advantage, cruising to the checkered flag.
Dale Shaw’s consistency continues as he backed up last week’s fourth-place finish with a runner-up this time around. Jordan Howse crossed the checkered flag in third after coming out on top in a three-way battle that took place over the final five laps with Kyle Steckly and Jason Hathaway.
Erik Dalla Riva rebounded from last week’s incident for sixth in front of Cory McAllister, Glenn Styres, Rick Spencer-Walt, and Gerrit Tiemersma. Ollie Ferguson was 11th in his second career late model appearance, ahead of Paul Maltese who pulled off on Lap 4 with an apparent mechanical issue.
