Brian Wilson Preparing for Busy 2025 Campaign

As the schedules began to be released by both series and tracks, fans across the province of Ontario began putting together their calendar of plans for the year ahead. The same could be said for the drivers as well, including Brian Wilson.

“I have made a schedule of all the tracks,” he revealed. “I’d love to race them all, but time and money make us have to choose what works for us. That being said, we will race at Varney (Full Throttle Motor Speedway) and tour with OSCAAR as much as we can, and time and funds allow.

“I absolutely am thankful for TwoSpeed Motorsports Alliance Roofing Canada and Logel’s Auto Parts help us parade out Hot Rod around the province. These companies and my Wife and friend Jay have made it possible if they see this.”

Wilson went on to say that whether it’s battling at their home track or with the top guys on the tour, the goal is “the goals are the same year after year – have fun with it and try to win every race,” as being in the mix weekly is where he wants to be.

Wilson was able to accomplish this task last season, with picking up a couple checkered flags. In hopes of continuing to build on the success the team has experienced in both Mini Stocks and Hot Rod competition, he says it will take “working on exploring more setup and changes to learn from really helps in the long run.”

He also added a different type of memorable moment to the season, saying the opportunity to spot his son Brian Wilson Jr. to a win was the best.

“As father of a son racing against and on the same team, like I was lucky to be able to do with my dad, is probably the best thing I can imagine doing together,” he commented. “In the shop and around the pits, Jr is like every other kid and myself with my dad – they think they know it all and don’t listen!”

The family aspect is something which means a lot, as Wilson’\s racing hero was his father, as “he would watch me race and teach, and pass me all in the same race day; being with your dad doing what you both enjoy – life doesn’t get much better than that.”

With the experience he has gained under his belt over the years, Wilson says the next car he would like to drive would be a Super Late Model.
