PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Battling hard all day, John Baker Jr. put the perfect cap on the season with a victory in the Autumn Colours Classic to secure the 2024 Ontario Modified Racing Series (OMRS) Championship.

The night did not start off as he would have hoped with a fifth-place finish in the first heat. However, he quickly rebounded, scoring the victory in the second qualifier.

When it came time for the main event, Baker Jr. wasted no time in moving forward, tracking down the race leader and passing him on Lap 4. A quick caution on Lap 7 set up a restart, but that did not faze the multi-time modified champion as John Baker Jr. held off the challenge en route to winning.
