Jake Spencer-Walt Shows Speed at Autumn Colours Classic

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Making his first trip to Peterborough Speedway with a Legend, Jake Spencer-Walt showed speed throughout the weekend.

Spencer-Walt started up front for his first qualifier, hopeful of a strong performance. Unfortunately, a loose racecar saw him get tied up in a couple incidents throughout the eight laps. He rebounded solidly in his second heat, staying out of trouble and gaining speed while getting more comfortable.

Come feature time, he was looking to make his way up through the field after taking the green flag in the 22nd position. He made a couple passes in the first two laps, but unfortunately would get loose due to not getting enough heat in the tires, going around on the frontstretch. This followed with contact with another car, ending his feature event early.

Spencer-Walt caught the eyes of those in attendance over the weekend, though, as he battled up inside the top-three throughout the entire duration of Friday night’s non-winner race, including restarting on the front row a couple times. His efforts would be rewarded with a third-place finish.
