INNISFIL, Ontario — He may not have been the first car across the finish line, but Nick Clarke took home the honor at the end of the night in winning the inaugural Bone Stock Ringer at Sunset Speedway on Friday.
2024 Sunset Speedway Bone Stock Champion Chris Allard was behind the wheel of his fellow competitor Aidan Harper’s entry, and showed the same speed fans have grown familiar with each time the No. 42 has been on-track this season. It showed in watching him dominate by the ringer, taking the lead on Lap 3 and pacing the remaining laps. He ultimately crossed the finish line in first ahead of Canadian Legend Car Series Champion Parker Traves (Brandon Steele’s ride) and hot rod competitor Jay Cutting (Kris Khan’s ride).
However, following the event in post-race technical inspection, the top-three were disqualified. This would hand over the victory to Nick Clarke, who driving the No. 0 London Recreational Racing entry normally piloted by Phil Givens.
Josh Berry, driving Chris Allard’s ride, was about to out-battle Matt McGrath (Austyn Jennett) for the runner-up spot ahead of Kendra Adams (Aundrea Lusk) and Jesse Brown (Calvin Reesor).
Aidan Harper (Josh Berry) finished sixth ahead of Jacob Booth, Matt Christina, Nathan Huffam, and Nathan Booth.
