INNISFIL, Ontario — Finding his way to the front quickly, Charlie Smith did not look back en route to winning the Mini Stock Ringer on Friday at Sunset Speedway.
The pole position turned into magic for Smith, as he put the No. 95 Honda Civic normally piloted by Michael Robinson III out front and cruised away from the field.
Defending race winner Blair Wickett, driving Jacob Sutcliffe’s mustang, cleared the traffic after a dicey three-wide moment, but was unable to rundown Smith in the second half of the event. Samantha Shaw (Wyatt Sutcliffe’s mustang) out-battled Erik Dalla Riva (Blaise Shaw’s mustang) for third, with Cameron McGlashan (Aundrea Lusk) completing the top-five.

Charlie started the year with a hat trick at Peterborough opening night.
The 95 Team has been the car to watch this year, with 2 trips to the frame guy Walt, a blown motor, a bad call by officials and ridiculous DQ they have climbed back every time. So proud.
That smile says it all. 🏁🏁🏁🏆
