INNISFIL, Ontario — It was a battle that lasted the full feature and kept fans on the edge of their seat, which ultimately saw Taylor Holdaway getting the upper hand over Jordan Howse this past Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
The pair started on the front row following qualifying, with Howse edging out Holdaway for the pole. Holdaway got the initial jump on the drop of the green flag and looked ready to pull away. Though as the feature entered the second half, Howse was able to erase the gap and began to pressure for the lead. Despite getting a run each lap through turns three and four, he was never able to fully clear Holdaway to take over the top spot.
Taylor Holdaway would clear him with two to go, leading the final laps en route to scoring the feature victory. Jordan Howse crossed the finish line in second, which allowed him to capture the track championship. Dwayne Baker out-battled Kendra Adams for third, with Dustyn Mombourquette rounding out the top-five.
Travis Hallyburton was sixth in front of Gord Shepherd, Samantha Shaw, Tyler Liscum, and Paul Maltese.
Mike Bentley, Dale Shaw, and Keith Temple rounded out the field.
