Steve McCaw Scores JRS Auctions OSCAAR Hot Rod Victory

LONDON, Ontario — Starting on the pole, Steve McCaw led flag-to-flag en route to winning the JRS Auctions OSCAAR Hot Rod feature on Saturday at Delaware Speedway.

A single 10-minute practice session due to weather would also set the starting grid, with an invert based on points and attendance. McCaw timed in quickest, giving him the pole.

Immediately upon the drop of the green flag, Steve McCaw stretched out his advantage over the field en route to visiting McColl Racing Enterprises victory lane.

Everyone’s eyes focused on the battle for second through fourth throughout the first half, with Dalen Martin and Rick Spencer-Walt spending laps side-by-side, and then Spencer-Walt doing the same with Kenny McNicol Jr. Including a slight bump. Dalen Martin came out on top in second ahead of Rick Spencer-Walt, and Kenny McNicol Jr.

Tyler Hawn completed the top-five to keep his points lead ahead of Steve Book, David Rockwood, Matt Hopkins, Jay Doerr, and Steve Arrand.

Delaware Speedway V8 Stock regular Barry Watson crossed the finish line in 11th, followed by Thomas Wunsch, Ryan Cowan, Connor Ellis, Hailey McNicol, Al Hilton, and Rob Bromley.

The next race for the JRS Auctions OSCAAR Hot Rods is Saturday, September 21, at Brighton Speedway.
