T.J Edwards and Wally Wilson Split Modified Feature Wins at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — With a pair of Modified features on deck on Saturday, it gave way for two different drivers to visit victory lane at Sunset Speedway.

Laying down a lap of 14.827 seconds, T.J Edwards would take the pole for the first 30-lap feature, and did not look back en route to snagging the checkered flag by a whole straightaway advantage over the field.

Rick Spencer-Walt made his way through the field for a runner-up finish ahead of Darin Malcolm, with Wally Wilson and Josh Gruntz completing the top-five. Ryan D’Antimo and Monty Farrell completed the field.

The second feature saw an invert of the lead lap cars from the first 30-lapper, placing Wally Wilson on the outside of the front row. He did not look back from the opening lap, grabbing the advantage and cruising away from the field for his first Sunset Speedway modified victory.

T.J Edwards was forced down pit road before the green flag as a result of a flat tire, but was able to make his way through the field for the runner-up at the checkered ahead of Darin Malcolm. Josh Gruntz and Ryan D’Antimo completed the top-five ahead of Monty Farrell. Rick Spencer-Walt tried to get his car running under the extended break before the feature due to a power outage, but was unable to do so.
