INNISFIL, Ontario — Setting the quickest lap in time trials, Jordan Howse kept the season rolling in style with another trip to victory lane at Sunset Speedway.
Jordan Howse laid down a lap of 14.545 seconds to give him the pole for the 50-lap feature, which is a position he did let go of. He would establish himself an advantage over the field and maintained that through the lap traffic. He ultimately led flag-to-flag to the checkered flag, allowing him to extend his points lead in the standings.
Dale Shaw made his way forward and looked to challenge for the lead, but came up short on the bid with a runner-up as he fought some mechanical gremlins in his first race back since destroying the car at Delaware Speedway earlier this season.
Danny Benedict’s final season behind the wheel of a racecar led him to a third-place finish ahead of Kendra Adams and Dwayne Baker.
Gord Shepherd’s consistency resulted in a sixth in front of Dustyn Mombourquette, Samantha Shaw, Travis Hallyburton, and Paul Maltese.
Jeff Hanley was 11th, followed by Parker Traves, Keith Temple, Mike Bentley, and Al Inglis.
