INNISFIL, Ontario — Finding his way to the lead in the opening laps, T.J Edwards did not look back en route to winning the Just Foam It OSCAAR Modified feature at Sunset Speedway.
T.J Edwards would start fourth following a win in the Bromley Automotive qualifying heats, but did not remain there long. He quickly jumped up inside the top-two, making the move for the lead. He then paced the rest of the way en route to visiting Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC victory lane.
A.J. Emms followed Edwards through the traffic to second, but was unable to mount a challenge to take over the top spot. Johnny Morrison put together an impressive Modified debut, making the late-race pass to complete the podium.
Steve Trendell placed fourth after leading early, with Tyler Liscum completing the top-five in his first event behind his new modified. Chris Milwain was sixth ahead of Jason Keen and Wally Wilson. Daryn Malcolm and Dale Reinhart rounded out the top-10 after tangling together just before the halfway mark.
Ryan Dick was 11th, followed by Monty Farrell and Rick Spencer-Walt. Jade Franklin would not take the green flag for the feature.
The Bromley Automotive heat wins went to Edwards (x2), Emms, and Morrison.
Edwards currently leads Keen by 18 points in the series standings.
The next event on the Just Foam It OSCAAR Modified schedule takes place at Delaware Speedway on Saturday, September 7.
