John Baker Jr. Carrying Momentum into Closing Events of 2024

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Consistency seems to be the name of the game for John Baker Jr., as evident by a string of podiums leading him into the August break for the Ontario Modified Racing Series.

In the series’ most recent event at Peterborough Speedway on August 10, JBJ was up front once again in posting a second-place finish in the feature after making his way forward throughout the feature from the tail of the field. He moved into the runner-up spot on Lap 14, but was unable to track down the eventual winner in the final six circuits.

The strong runner-up performance made for a solid points night when you add in the pair of seconds from the heats earlier in the night. He currently holds a 23-point advantage in the standings.

In the past three events for the series, John Baker Jr. has now scored a trio of feature wins and no finishes worse than third.

There are two races that remain on the schedule for OMRS, beginning with the Robert Maebrae Memorial Classic at Peterborough Speedway on Saturday, August 31. The champion will then be crowned as part of the Autumn Colours Classic at Peterborough on Friday, October 11.

John Baker Jr.’s 2024 campaign will be supported by GEN 3 electrical , rotechrepair.ca Whitby South medical, Oshawa Hearing Aid clinic , MAK funeral home , vampire Racing, The Jube pub and patio, Cheryl’s decor and more , Robinson Solutions, Fotheringham bookkeeping, and his whole family.
