Doug Butler Scores Victory in Return to Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Doug Butler has not been out each weekend this season at Sunset Speedway, but you cannot count him out of possible contenders. He proved that on Sunday with a trip to victory lane.

Doug Butler was fast in qualfying, setting him on the front row for the feature. From there, he took the early lead and cruised away from the field en route to victory lane.

Charlie Smith made his way through the field for a runner-up finish after catching fire the night before at Peterborough Speedway. Current points leader Jacob Sutcliffe placed third in front of Cameron McGlashan and Ryder White.

Coleridge Phinnemore was sixth ahead of Chander Bos, Aundrea Lusk, Bob Phinnemore, and John Bird.

Blaise Shaw ran inside the top-five early until mechanical issues sent him pit side.
