INNISFIL, Ontario — Taking over the lead in the early stages, Blaise Shaw held off the field en route to winning the Mini Stock feature on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.

Starting up front, Blaise Shaw took advantage and put himself in position when contact happened ahead of him on Lap 7, allowing him to inherit the top spot. He led the rest of the way despite being hounded for the top spot en route to the victory.

Jacob Sutcliffe, the hounder and current points leader, continued his strong season with a runner-up finish. Cameron McGlashan rebounded from the Lap 7 incident en route to third ahead of Chandler Bos. Coleridge Phinnemore came back from the contact early for fifth in front of Kris Inglis, Aundrea Lusk, Bob Phinnemore, John Bird, and Madisson Tienkamp.

The feature included a pair of cautions, with the second of those for a single-car spin involving Peter Wakeling.

Heat victories went to Jacob Sutcliffe and Coleridge Phinnemore. Notably, Sutcliffe had to drive through the field for his after early race contact.
