Travis Hallyburton Scores Pro Late Model Victory at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Taking the lead on a late-race restart, Travis Hallyburton paced the final six laps en route to picking up the victory in the Late Model feature on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.

Travis Hallyburton paced the opening couple of laps, falling back a couple spots in the middle portion of the event. However, he avoided an incident ahead of him in the closing stages, and fired off on the final restart to take back the lead. From there, it was cruise control en route to victory lane.

Rick Spencer-Walt drove his way from the back of the field, getting the lead in a dramatic three-wide battle to pace 12 laps, before issues on the final restart relegated him to second. Dustyn Mombourquette held on for third, while Jordan Howse rebounded from an incident to finish fourth. Gord Shepherd completed the top-five.

Taylor Holdaway finished sixth, in front of Parker Traves, Samantha Shaw and Paul Maltese. Kendra Adams placed ninth, after being involved in an incident at Lap 42 with Cory McAllister. As released by the team a couple days ago, McAllister ultimately suffered a broken back in the incident. Jeff Hanley and Keith Temple rounded out the finishing order.
