INNISFIL, Ontario — In an event that saw the best of the Bone Stock competitors from across the province all show up at once, it was one of province’s top trophy chasers in James Houghton coming out on top.

A regular at Flamboro Speedway, James Houghton has proved in the past he is someone to watch at the big events with strong runs previously at Sunset Speedway and a Frostoberfest victory at Flamboro. He added another crown to his collection this past Saturday, winning the Hill Top Nationals Bone Stock invitational. Houghton ran second for the majority of the event after a strong qualifying effort, ultimately being awarded the victory after four disqualifications post-race.

Fellow Flamboro Speedway regulars Craig Cole and Spencer Riddell joined Houghton on the podium, with Sunset regular Kris Khan finishing fourth. Sterling Roberts completed the top-five ahead of Aidan Harper, Dustin Johnston, Calvin Reesor, Josh Berry, and Jack Bird.

Nathan Booth was 11th in the first big race of his rookie campaign, in front of Julia Bos, Ben McPherson, Jordan Wilms, Austyn Jennett, Steve Oakes, Tyler Weale, and Andrew Shilling. Jacob Booth was disqualified for an illegal driver change, while Curtis Burnett, Gary Slama, and Matt Boyes were disqualified for technical violations.

The Mini Stocks saw points leader Jacob Sutcliffe extend his advantage over the field with his second feature win of 2024 ahead of Coleridge Phinnemore, Doug Butler, Chandler Bos, and Cameron McGlashan. Ryder White made his return with a sixth in front of Cash Ireton, Bob Phinnemore, Peter Wakeling, and Eric Rainey.

Madisson Tienkamp was 11th, followed by Graydon Bunn, John Bird, Michael Robertson III, Jason D’Antimo, and Kris Inglis.

Josh Davenport kept the good times rolling in the CPS Jr Late Models with another checkered flag, this time ahead of Caleb McConnell, Rylan Kamrath, Ronnie Mason, and Ethan Malin. Morgan Moore scored a solid sixth in front of Jackson Baker, Miya Ford, Keegan Moat, and Chase Stevenson.
