PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — The title defense continued to remain strong for John Baker Jr. at Peterborough Speedway this past Saturday, with a podium performance.
Baker Jr made his way forward in the first Ontario Modified Racing Series heat for a third-place finish. He then backed it up with a win in the second qualifier.
When it came time for the feature, Baker Jr wasted no time making his way forward through the field, taking over the runner-up spot with just three laps on the board. Unfortunately, he was unable to find a way around the race leader en route to a runner-up finish.
The second-place finish marks his third straight podium performance after a third and second at Flamboro Speedway.
John Baker Jr is back in action at Peterborough Speedway on July 20 with the Bill Pickford Memorial.
John Baker Jr.’s 2024 campaign will be supported by GEN 3 electrical , rotechrepair.ca Whitby South medical, Oshawa Hearing Aid clinic , MAK funeral home , vampire Racing, The Jube pub and patio, Cheryl’s decor and more , Robinson Solutions, Fotheringham bookkeeping, and his whole family.
