Johnny Morrison Edges out Booth for Super Stock Feature

INNISFIL, Ontario — It seemed to be the perfect Saturday night for Johnny Morrison, but could’ve easily came up short as he managed to hold on just enough for the feature victory at Sunset Speedway.

Johnny Morrison had a quick car and wasted no time putting the No. 83 out front in the feature, asserting his advantage over the field. However, as the laps drew closer to the finish, his gap began to shrink as they began to reel him in. Jacob Booth got to his bumper, getting alongside through the final corner to drag race Morrison to the flag.

Johnny Morrison managed to hold on with Jacob Booth second, while Miles Tyson completed the podium. Cole Burrows out-battled Paul Pepper to the checkered flag for fifth. It marked a rebound for Pepper after having to rebound due to an unscheduled pit stop early in the event.

Connor Maltese drove his way to a sixth after leading early ahead of Coltin Everingham, who rebounded after going for a spin during qualifying after contact. Roy Wilkie, who was behind the contact, was eighth in front of Bailey Jacobs and Daniel Hawn.

Matt McGrath and Tyler Liscum rounded out the field.
