INNISFIL, Ontario — Taking the lead on the second lap, Jeff Blackburn cruised away from the field en route to picking up the checkered flag in the T.Q. Can-Am Midget feature at Sunset Speedway on Saturday night.
It was some familiar faces behind him at the front of the field, with Hawn Motorsports Chassis Works making up the next trio of spots as Daniel Hawn ran second ahead of Darren McLennan and James Stanley. Sherri Hogan rebounded from her wreck in her last appearance at Sunset Speedway to round out the top-five.
Tyler Cullen was sixth in front of Larry Wilson, Roberto Polillo, Richard Woodland, and Larry Lawson.
Jaden Riddell fell out of the event with issues on Lap 4, while Mike Westwood did not finish the opening lap after contact with another car and the turn four wall in heat race action.
Heat victories went to Jeff Blackburn and Daniel Hawn, with James Stanley winning the Dash for Cash.
