INNISFIL, Ontario — Finding magic in the third groove is allowing success to come Chris Allard’s way, as he picked up another feature win on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
Starting deep in the pack, Chris Allard wasted no time making his way to the front of the field as he utilised the third groove to perfection, cruising another his competitors as they got bottled up together. Once he put the No. 76 out front at the end of the first lap, he gapped the field en route to victory lane.
Jordan Owens kept his consistent season in tact with a runner-up finish while Jack Bird out-battled Josh Berry and Aidan Harper to complete the top-five.
Austin Jennett put together one of his best runs of the season en route to sixth ahead of Calvin Reesor, Ben McPherson, Tiffany Booth, and Brandon Burnett. Jason King and Nathan Booth completed the cars on the lead lap at the checkered flag.
Curtis Burnett showed speed early, but mechanical issues on Lap 17 saw him fall down the running order. Matt Christina and Steve Oakes completed the field.
Heat wins went to Curtis Burnett and Chris Allard, while Steve Oakes won the Rags to Riches Dash for Cash.
Notably, Karlie Wilman failed to start the Dash for Cash and the feature after motor issues in her qualifying heat.
