Cole Quinton Carries APC Series Learning Curve Through Canada Day Weekend

LONDON, Ontario — Making his first trip to Delaware Speedway for Canada Day weekend, Cole Quinton showed speed during the 100-lap APC Auto Parts United Late Model Tour event.

The rookie utilised practice to get used to the half-mile oval, laying down a lap of 18.362 to place him eighth on the board in qualifying.

The solid starting spot allowed him to spend the first half of the race inside the top-10, battling the best drivers in the province. Unfortunately, the handling would go away as the second 50 laps clicked off, seeing Quinton fade back a couple spots as a result. He would cross the finish line with a 14th-place finish.

Quinton currently ranks 14th in the series standings following four races this season. He is the highest ranked rookie currently, 13 markers ahead of Kody Ferri.

The next event on the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series sees Quinton return to Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, July 13. Quinton scored a ninth-place finish at his most experienced track earlier this year.
