INNISFIL, Ontario — Taking the lead from the drop of the green flag, T.J Edwards did not look back en route to winning on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.

Edwards put the No. 34 Modified out front on Lap 1, and from there on, began to drive away from the field with each passing trip around the track. By the time the checkered flag fell, he had a straightaway advantage over his competition.

The battle for second was closer throughout the first half of the event, with Rick Spencer-Walt eventually driving away from Brad Pearsall with the position. Tyler Liscum captured fourth ahead of Wally Wilson.

The Modifieds were set to run two features on Saturday night, with second of those rained out. It will be made up on Saturday, August 31.
