INNISFIL, Ontario — Making the late race pass, Johnny Morrison backed up his Fall Velocity victory from last September with a win in the Spring Velocity this past Sunday at Sunset Speedway.

Lane Zardo initially grabbed the advantage off the green flag, taking the lead off the drop of the green flag. He appeared to have the dominant car, though found a red and black super stock getting larger in his rearview mirror as the laps began to countdown.

Johnny Morrison caught him, making his way by with just four laps remaining to score the victory. Gord Shepherd would slip past Lane Zardo in the closing laps for second, as he made his first Super Stock start of the year, shaking down the car in preparation for the Flyin’ Frank 49 this coming weekend. Bailey Jacobs and Paul Pepper rounded out the top-five.

Heat wins went to Paul Pepper and Lane Zardo.
